  • After 701 days of posting, I will now be leaving Xanga. All of my future posts can now be found at my website: http://www.outsidedream.com

I'm sure I'll probably post on here if something important or interesting happens, but if you do actually read what happens in my daily life, just check out the website.

Actually, if you've never checked out my website, you really should. I have wallpapers that I've created in photoshop, I make fun of really stupid names people give to their children, and soon, I'll have a House Plans section, which will feature my architecture hobby of creating floor plans.

  • It took me about a minute and a half to get this joke:

After a few years of married life, this guy finds that he is unable to get it up anymore. He goes to his doctor, his doctor tries a few things but nothing works.

Finally the doctor says to him "this is all in your mind", and refers him to a psychiatrist.

After a few visits to the shrink, the shrink confesses "I am at a loss as to how you could possibly be cured."

Finally the psychiatrist refers him to a witch doctor.

The witch doctor tells him, "I can cure this", and throws some powder on a flame, and there is a flash with billowing blue smoke....

The witch doctor says "This is powerful healing but you can only use it once a year! All you have to do is say '1 2 3' and it shall rise for as long as you wish!"

The guy then asks the witch doctor "What happens after when its over?".

The witch doctor says "all you have to say is '1 2 3 4' and it will go down". "But be warned it will not work again for 3 months!"

This guy goes home and that night is ready to surprise his wife with the good news... So he is lying in bed with her and says "1 2 3", and suddenly he gets a hard-on.

His wife turns over and says "What did you say '1 2 3' for?"

  • Oh man, I haven't been this tired in a long time. I just went to my beginning swimming class, which was so much fun. The instructor is funny and makes class an enjoyment to go to. We learned all the different stroke techniques, and attempted (very very badly) to do them. I think only one guy could actually do the butterfly, but the rest of us nearly drowned, flailing our arms around in the water in an attempt to look like dolphins. Instead, we looked like a scene from a Discovery channel documentary involving a gazelle and a crocodile. Total confusion, and a whole lot of splashing. I was in a lane with two other people, and luckily I wasnt the worst one. And either I'm really good at the backstroke, or the guy in my lane really sucks. He would go, then once he reached 1/3 length of the pool, I would start. I would always collide with him half way to the end. For once, my height comes very much in handy. And it turns out I know how to do the freestyle, I just didn't know it till now .

My arms are so sore, and I feel kinda sick from swallowing water, and I'm incredibly tired....but that was GRRRRREAT! (Can you tell what snack I'm eating right now?  )

Anways, here's an update on what's been going on for the past few days:

Saturday was my two-year anniversary with Joss . It was such a great day: first, in the morning, Rose and I went on a shuttlebus tour to check out 9 apartments. We all agreed that University Commons is the better one, but they're all going to visit today to make a final decision.

At around 5:30 I got all dressed up nice, and Joss and I went to P.F.Chang's to eat. The tofu was excellent, as always. Then after that, we went to a comedy club, where we saw Tom Young perform. He was really really funny. So if you're looking for fun, definitely go check out his act.

Tonight, Joss and I are going to have a nice romantic picnic out on that mountain-cliff-overlook thingy.

  • I finally got around to studying for my Psychology GRE the other day. I took the diagnostic test, and scored a 510....which is in the 29th percentile . So I'm now determined to study hardcore for this test, and next semester I'll be taking a bunch of psych classes that will get me better prepared. Sometime in there I also need to study for the regular GRE. Ugh.

I'm pretty worried about graduate school. My professors say that clinical psychology programs are much harder to get into than any medical school. I guess it doesn't help that my top choice graduate program is ranked #8 in North America. Well, if it comes to it, I can always go to UNT

Good luck to everyone applying for med school or graduate school in the fall.
